Questo scritto si propone di aprire uno spazio di ricerca per al contempo approfondire e problematizzare uno dei principali concetti emergenti negli studi urbani, quello di “urbanizzazione planetaria”. Negli ultimi anni questa prospettiva si è infatti progressivamente affermata come importante lente analitica per comprendere e interpretare quello spazio-processo mobile, espansivo e interconnesso che possiamo chiamare urbanizzazione.
This paper aims at opening a research space to deepen and problematize one of the main emerging concepts in urban studies, that of “planetary urbanization”. In recent years, this perspective has progressively established itself as an important analytical lens for understanding and interpreting the mobile, expansive and interconnected space-process that we can call urbanisation.
