PLATFORM WORK AND GENDER EQUALITY by FGB onsite (also remotely available)
PLUS partner Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini invited you to the event “PLATFORM WORK AND GENDER EQUALITY”, (Italian speakers).
It took place on 29th of March 2022 at the FGB premises at Milano Luiss Hub, via Massimo d’Azeglio, 3, Milan, Italy (12:00-14:00 CET) with an audience of 35 on-location participants and 30 remotely connected participants. Barbara De Micheli, Head of social Justice Unit at Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini, moderated the interventions. The seminar was introduced by Eleni Kampouri, post-doc at the University of Hertfordshire, who gave an overview of the PLUS project findings addressing gender and intersectionality issues in the platform economy. A contribution on “Ethical Platforms. Building an alliance on gender equality” by Ivana Pais, professor at Sacro Cuore Catholic University (Milan), followed. The seminar hosted the presentation of the experiences of two rising Italian delivery labour platforms: Takave (Rome), by its founder Evelyn Pereira, and So.De (Milan), by its co-founder Elia Ciapelletti. Monica Romano, councellor of the Municipality of Milano working on local legislation for platform workers attended the event
